MSA Employee Takes Part in Emerging Leadership Development Program
Innovate Catawba, which was created through the vision of the Catawba County Chamber of Commerce, was designed to foster economic transformation through innovation. It is a collaboration of 6 different workgroups: inspiring, reinventing, building, entrepreneurs, workforce, and leading. Evidence of several of the Innovate Catawba building projects are visible around the area, but there is also a lot of work being done behind the scenes.
Under the Leadership Development Focus Area, there is a new initiative – 4D 360° Emerging Leadership Development Program. Eighteen emerging leaders in the community are participating in the inaugural class, including Tonya Marshall, Audit Manager at Martin Starnes and Associates CPAs, P.A. (MSA). Represented among the students are emerging leaders in industry, government, education and community service. This diverse and passionate group is being led by Bruce Schronce, Executive Director of The Leadership Network – Catawba County Chamber of Commerce and President of STRONGLEAD Leadership Development and Coaching. Bruce has taken on the challenge of "Developing Great Leadership for a Great Community."
In order to support the Innovate Catawba strategy of creating a culture of transcendent, holistic, powerful, and transformational leaders who are committed to engage and impact our community with innovative growth and development, the 4D 360° Emerging Leadership Development Program identifies, trains, and connects leaders at the individual, organizational, and community development front.
This is a new approach to community leadership, which focuses on the whole person, because you cannot separate who you are from what you do. The program uses a combination of lecture and study materials, workshops and group exercises, as well as group and individual mentoring and coaching sessions for personalized guidance. Many of the existing leaders in our community are not only willing, but very excited about the opportunity to participate in a mentor capacity in the program and to help mold the future of leadership in Catawba County.
MSA is very proud of Tonya Marshall and looks forward to reaping the benefits of her training. For more information regarding the program, visit: http://innovatecatawba.com/.
