The Redesigned Form W-4 is Ready to Use!

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has redesigned Form W-4, Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate, and it is now available for employers to use when hiring new employees beginning January 1, 2020.

This form was redesigned to replace complicated worksheets with something that is easier to understand and use. As an employee, if you have furnished the Form W-4 to your employer in the past, you are not required to do so again and your employer will continue to use information from the most recent form you have provided to them.
