Amy McGhinnis, Financial Accounting Services Manager at Martin Starnes & Associates, CPAs, P.A. (MSA), recently became a graduate of the 48th class of the Leadership Catawba program offered by The Chamber of Catawba County. A graduation luncheon was held at Lake Hickory Country Club on March 7, 2023, to recognize the achievements of the 2022-23 Leadership Catawba cohort. Leadership Catawba is an eight month program that educates and equips participants with information about the social, economic and political dynamics of our community. The program challenges participants to be effective leaders not only within their own organizations, but to lead within the greater community through personal involvement.
“Leadership Catawba was an extraordinary experience, and I was fortunate to represent MSA in the program. As a life-long resident of Catawba County, I was amazed at how much I did not know about our local community, specifically planning for the future direction of Catawba County and the cooperation between local governments.” McGhinnis also added, “I especially enjoyed learning more about our nonprofit community and how very involved they are at enriching the lives of Catawba County residents.”
