The North Carolina Department of Commerce’s Division of Employment Security (DES) has extended the deadline for 4th quarter filing and payments from January 31, 2024, to February 29, 2024, alongside launching significant updates to the North Carolina State Unemployment Insurance Tax System (NCSUITS). This extension is aimed at providing additional time for employers to adapt to the new changes and ensure compliance with state unemployment insurance regulations.
These updates are designed to streamline processes for both employers and claimants.
